It's time to celebrate National Pasta Day on October 17th! Not only is pasta one of our favorite foods but it can be used as a great addition to your crafts! 
Pasta can be a versatile and affordable material for all sorts of creative projects. From jewelry to home décor, the possibilities are endless. So grab your glue guns and let's dive into the world of pasta crafts!
 
Take your pasta crafts one step further and PAINT! After gluing your pasta, paint with Kwik Stix for a colorful touch! 
 
Kwik Stix are solid tempera paint sticks that dry in 90 seconds! They are mess free and don't require water cups or brushes! They come in various colors and are used for crafting and painting!

DIY Lacing Activity

 

Materials Needed: cardboard, Wonder Stix, round object to trace, black marker, pasta, glue, and a piece of yarn

  1. Begin by tracing your round object
  2. Draw a face
  3. Create an outline of hair using Wonder Stix
  4. Glue on pieces on pasta around the hair line
  5. Lace through each piece of pasta with a piece of yarn

Pasta Pumpkin Painting

Materials Needed: paper, Kwik Stix, glue, and pasta
  1. Draw an outline of a pumpkin onto your paper
  2. Drizzle glue inside of the outline
  3. Place pasta on top of the glue to glue the white area of the pumpkin
  4. Once the glue is dry, paint your pasta with Kwik Stix

Color Sorting with Pasta

Materials Needed: pasta, colored containers or baking cups, colored hearts and Wonder Stix
  1. Sort your colored pasta into the correct colored baking cup
  2. The color that you pick up, use the same color Wonder Stix and draw a heart
  3. Place your colored heart pieces in the correct space

Crushed Pasta Turtles

Materials Needed: Kwik Stix, glue, card board, scissors, plastic lids, hole puncher, googly eyes, pasta, string, and lemon squeezer

  1. Pour glue into plastic lids
  2. Place pasta into a lemon squeezer and crush the pasta
  3. Sprinkle the crushed pasta into the glue
  4. Trace circles and draw turtles onto cardboard
  5. Paint with Kwik Stix
  6. Cut out and paint the opposite side
  7. Wait a few days for the glue to dry
  8. Pop out the glue and crushed pasta out of the plastic lids
  9. Hot glue the cardboard and place the glue with the pasta
  10. Poke a hole in the cardboard
  11. Tie a string through the hole
  12. Glue on two googly eyes

Feed The Bunny

Materials Needed: two paper plates, pasta, Kwik Stix, tape, and a plastic container

  1. Paint each paper plate with Kwik Stix
  2. Cut one paper plate in half
  3. Draw a bunny face and cut out the mouth on the second paper plate
  4. Glue the two half plates onto the whole plate, to look like bunny ears
  5. Tape the bunny to a plastic container
  6. Scoop pasta and pour into the bunny's mouth

Pasta Crab

Materials Needed: Kwik StixWonder Stix, paper, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, pasta, and glue

  1. Begin by drawing and painting a crab with Kwik Stix and Wonder Stix
  2. Glue on googly eyes
  3. Paint the pasta orange
  4. Glue on 8 pieces of pasta
  5. Use pipe cleaners to twist and insert into the pasta
